DISPUTE RESOLUTION
For almost twenty years I have been omnipresent in contentious proceedings. When no out-of-court solution seems reasonable or possible, I am passionate about litigating for the interests of my clients.
In the course of my practice, I have conducted a wide variety of proceedings involving a wide range of amounts in dispute (up to EUR 500 million) - arbitration proceedings, construction litigation, investor litigation, recovery actions, SWAP proceedings, claims for damages and much more, alone or in teams. Interim legal protection and proceedings for the preservation of evidence are also part of my repertoire.
In this area, too, precise preparation of the facts, legal accuracy, proactive action, perfect knowledge of the files and a strategic understanding of the client's interests are a mandatory prerequisite for me - in addition to dedication to the case and pleasure in obtaining the best possible solution.
ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Provided that an effective arbitration agreement has been concluded between the parties, I represent my clients in these arbitration proceedings (VIAC, ICC, Commodity and Product Exchange, DIS etc.).
MEDIATION / NEGOTIATION
If a peaceful out-of-court solution can be found, this is often a cost-saving - desirable - option. In this case, mediation can be helpful, in which the parties work out a joint solution with the help of the mediator. In practice, however, out-of-court negotiations are conducted much more frequently, whose outcome depends not only on legal skills but also on the lawyer's communication skills and empathy as well as an intelligent strategy.
I take equal pleasure in avoidance of dispute, conflict resolution and (sometimes unpreventable) contentious settlement of conflicts – in every type of proceedings.
